Job Requirements of ServiceNow Engineer:
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):
- HS Diploma and 4 years related experience; Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in ServiceNow configuration & administration with strong understanding of ServiceNow integration solutions including: SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, SFTP, and MID servers.
- Expertise in ServiceNow ITAM modules (HAM, SAM), ITOM and Discovery, required
- ITIL foundations certification
- CIS ServiceNow certification certification is a plus
- CSA and CAD ServiceNow certification is required
- Strong understanding of IT Asset Management principles and best practices
- Manage and enhance the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in ServiceNow Business rules, Script includes, UI actions, Scheduled jobs, client scripts, UI Policies, UI Pages, UI macros, ACL, workflows, Inbound/outbound emails, data source integrations, transform maps, REST/SOAP Integration etc.
- Administer ServiceNow and serve as level 2 support
- Must have good communication skills both oral and written, with the ability to negotiate in a non-confrontational manner, deliver clear well-structured and concise arguments to support your opinion, using facts, pro's/con's and business justifications.
- Must have the ability to work in fast paced environment, balance priorities and juggle multiple tasks at once
- Ability to work independently
- Have a strong desire and clear understanding for high customer satisfaction
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with third party plug-ins that offer cost effective business solutions

JOB SUMMARY:
Claritev is looking for a ServiceNow Engineer with extensive experience in the ITSM, ITOM and ITAM modules. Responsibilities include design, development and maintenance of the Claritev ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM instance, including but not limited to: core setup, service catalog, workflow administration, reporting, service mappging, discovery, common service data model (CSDM), custom discovery patterns, agent client collector, REST/SOAP and APIs, data imports, and third-party software integration.
The IT Service Management department strives to deliver top-notch customer service centered around the ServiceNow ITSM Self Service Portal. Core modules in use include Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Knowledge, Change, Release, Asset Management, ITOM and Configuration Management.
This would be a great role for a talented ServiceNow Engineer to own and build a strong ServiceNow Engineering discipline while assessing opportunities to best utilize and optimize the platform. We are looking for an ambitious candidate, with at least 5-7 years of experience in configuration, custom scripting and development of ServiceNow platform modules. The incumbent shall develop custom ServiceNow solutions, troubleshoot platform issues, perform root cause analysis, recommend and implement corrective action.
JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical leadership in specification, implementation and maintenance of ServiceNow
- Develop and modify ServiceNow catalog, workflows, forms, lists, business rules, script includes and UI components.
- Provide solutions through configuration and customization including, but not limited to: user interface, workflow administration, reports, data imports, integration, custom scripting and third-party software integration by applying best practices
- Offer expert guidance and solutions to technical issues on the ITSM, ITAM and ITOM platform
- Implement advanced CMDB features, including Agent Client Collector (ACC) and service mapping for application and infrastructure components
- Develop, test and implement technical solutions
- Decipher requirements, generate optimal design and build solutions to meet business needs
- Expert level ServiceNow development skills
- Advanced experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM and ITOM platform modules and features
- System integration experience using web services and other web based technologies such as REST/SOAP.
- Experience with development and implementation of ServiceNow ITSM modules - Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, Service Catalog and ITSM integrations.
- Knowledge of Java Script, HTML/CSS, AJAX and ServiceNow API.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Promote, recommend, develop and implement processes to improve ITSM, ITAM and ITOM efficiency.
- Liaise cross-functionally as necessary to ensure department standards and goals are continuously met and maintained
- Well-rounded IT experience in both development and operations.
- Experience in ServiceNow Discovery and working knowledge of the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) is preferred.
JOB SCOPE:
This position works independently under general supervision to complete the assigned job responsibilities. Work performed is often varied and complex requiring a reliance on a knowledge base built through experience. The incumbent follows established procedures and uses knowledge of the Company’s general business principles, industry dynamics, market trends, and specific operation details when performing the duties of the position as assigned.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is 100k-120k. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
