Compensation Analyst

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for participating in the design, development, and implementation of base salary and total cash compensation programs to ensure external competitiveness, internal equity and compliance in alignment with legal requirements and the Company's business strategies, objectives and competitive position.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Participate in the planning, design, implementation and administration of cash compensation and reward program compensation.
2. Participate in the review, evaluation, completion and maintenance of job descriptions providing recommendations for job codes, job titles, job grades (including FLSA classification) and posting the completed job descriptions on the intranet. Consult with management on job families, career paths, job design and educate.
3. Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitive compensation structures.
4. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
5. Audit and analyze compensation data and prepare reports to support decision-making.
6. Participate in and conduct salary surveys including the analysis of survey data and maintenance of salary survey database.
7. Assist with the annual merit and quarterly/annual bonus planning process.
8. Recommend enhancements or changes to compensation programs to improve administrative procedures, workflow efficiencies aligning programs to achieve corporate goals.
9. Provide guidance and support to management and staff in the administration and interpretation of compensation guidelines and pay practices.
10. May conduct training and education pertaining to compensation programs. Participate in the development of training materials for presentation to management and employees.
11. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
12. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
13. Demonstrate commitment to Company's Core Competencies and values held within.

JOB SCOPE:
The incumbent applies an understanding of the Company's core values with respect to total rewards as it relates to the compensation function. The incumbent may participate in special and ongoing projects as assigned which can be complex in nature requiring the use of acquired knowledge and project management skills. Escalate most complex issues to higher level.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $70-72K.  Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity.  This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.

Job Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

* Minimum Bachelors Degree in related field of study, or 4 High School Diploma/G.E.D. and years of experience in related field
* Minimum 2 years of experience in compensation administration and program development
* Knowledge of legal compliance requirements as they pertain to compensation and HR programs.
* Knowledge of base and variable compensation systems, job evaluation techniques, market surveys and compensation administration
* Ability to use software and peripherals related to performance of job responsibilities
* Communication (written, verbal and listening), process management, analytical, decision making, organizational, project management, negotiating, time management
* Ability to facilitate processes and client relationships to satisfy needs and identify improvements
* Ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of management
* Ability to recognize when to defer and/or inform higher levels of complex issues
* Ability to demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service and follow through
* Ability to create reports in Excel and write formulas
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers
* Ability to be flexible and creative in problem solving and identifying program improvements
