IT Asset Management Specialist (remote)

JOB SUMMARY: This role supports the complete life cycle of software and hardware assets within the IT organization. Responsibilities include tracking, deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and disposing of assets to maximize value and minimize costs while adhering to compliance regulations. Key tasks involve inventory management, software license compliance, cost optimization, and life cycle tracking. The role also oversees and utilizes IT asset management, service management, and IT operations management systems.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support the full life cycle of software and hardware asset management including tracking, discovery, analyzing, reporting, compliance, upgrades, and disposal utilizing company's finance, asset management, and service management systems.
2. Execute and support internal audits and external vendor audits of software and hardware on an ongoing basis to ensure license compliance, version control, and end-of-life upgrade protection.
3. Aid in the administrative and technical support of asset management and service management systems.
4. Review, approve, and support end user requests for software licensing using ServiceNow.
5. Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, etc. for specific software licensing and/or hardware information.
6. Create and maintain standard operating policies and procedures, documenting industry standard best practices implemented by the IT Asset Management team.
7. Support the Risk Management group to assist with HITRUST certification in ITAM related areas. Support the Internal Audit team for ITAM procedures and evidence for any compliance related activities.
8. Identify and advise management of contractual licensing issues that may impact the department and/or company as a whole through participation in the business/vendor contract review processes.
9. Identify and communicate savings opportunities for software licensing and services to management as appropriate.
10. Support and maintain software and hardware asset records within ServiceNow utilizing data from SAP Ariba purchases and S/4Hana invoices.
11. Enter and maintain software and hardware inventory information in asset management system.
12. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
13. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
14. Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.

JOB SCOPE: This role functions under general supervision, fostering self-direction and a results-driven approach. It follows established standards and procedures, utilizing extensive experience to complete tasks. Regular engagement with both internal and external stakeholders is essential to achieve objectives, with a strong focus on prioritizing customer needs during decision-making and for actions taken.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $76K to $88K.  Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity.  This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.

Job Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

* Minimum HS diploma and 5 years related experience or Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics or other related technical degree.

* Minimum 2-4 years' experience in IT asset management.
* Strong Software and Hardware life cycle knowledge required.
* Must have experience with ServiceNow ITAM/ITOM and ticket management. Desired experience with Broadcom Symantec Client Management Suite, SAP Ariba and S/4Hana.
* Experience with asset management, discovery, and procurement systems.
* Experience with software licensing models including perpetual licensing, subscription licensing, Cloud, Hosting, OnPrem, etc. licensing.
* Experience in Cloud FinOps.
* Experience with interpreting and supporting vendor (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, etc.) software licensing terms and conditions.
* Strong SharePoint and Excel skills; proficient with the use of Microsoft O365.
* Required ITAM professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable.
* Strong organizational, project management, analytical, and problem solving skills.
* Communication, attention to detail, organization and presentation skills.
* Ability to multitask and work well under pressure with adherence to deadlines and changing priorities.
* Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Individual in this position must be able to work in a standard office environment, or remote, which requires sitting and viewing monitor(s) for extended periods of time, operating standard office equipment such as, but not limited to, a keyboard, copier and telephone.
