JOB SUMMARY: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer with a deep understanding of Azure architecture to join our Architecture team. This role will involve designing and developing large-scale, cloud-native software systems that leverage the full potential of Azure's platform. Your expertise in Azure services, security, and DevOps will be critical in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of our complex systems."

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Design and implement highly scalable and resilient cloud-native applications on Azure, leveraging services like Azure App Service, Azure Functions, AKS
  2. Lead the design and implementation of complex cloud-native solutions on Azure, ensuring alignment with best practices and architectural principles
  3. Collaborate with the technical leads responsible for establishing software development standards that support the technical vision.
  4. Serve as technical leader and resource by providing direction and assistance to technical leads and developers for data design, technical design, and development as needed.
  5. Evaluate new and existing software to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance; identify candidate hardware systems and components.
  6. Conduct technical Review of requirements, analyze source data to provide gap analysis.
  7. Coordinate cross-functional projects as assigned and interact with all areas of the organization to achieve timely results
  8. Consult with customers on project status and advise customers about technical issues
  9. Evaluate and recommend enhancements to improve the quality of products and/or procedures.
  10. Provide support for various duties, including maintenance, troubleshooting, technical design, coding, and testing
  11. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  12. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  13. Demonstrate commitment to the Company’s core values.
  14. Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data – this role is considered to be a High Risk Role.

Job Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

  • 5 to 7 years of progressive software systems programming experience, 4 of which must be in .NET/C# and object-oriented programming principles, including design patterns.
  • Understanding of multi-tier distributed software architectures, concurrent programming concepts, and multi-threaded applications.
  • Must have experience implementing & managing Azure API Management for securing and monitoring APIs. Experience with Markup Languages such as , JSON is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud services and deployment. Deploy, manage, and scale applications using Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Virtual Machines.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of database design and optimization (SQL/NoSQL). relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure security
  • Extensive knowledge of business requirements gathering, architecting, designing and developing complex web applications and re-engineering products.
  • Knowledge of process stabilization, performance analysis, code optimization and testing of web application and data-engineering products.
  • Knowledge of health care claims and health insurance industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Planning, organizing, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience in Dephi and React JS languages is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly attain and understand new processes with strict attention to detail and analyze data and arrive at a logical conclusion
  • Ability to assess ramification of issues and prioritize tasks based on business impact
  • Ability to evaluate production situations and current information to determine the appropriate course of action and execute decisions.
  • BS in Computer Science or related field.

The salary range for this position is $120K to $150K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
