Job Requirements of Sr. Tableau Developer (remote):
REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with Tableau, including data visualization, dashboard development, and report creation.
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, extraction, and analysis.
- Proficiency with Python for automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Minimum 5 years of Tableau Desktop is required
- Experience with report performance optimization is required
- Experience with Tableau Server is a plus
- Experience and familiarity with Alteryx is a plus
- A proactive problem solver with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $105-120K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Tableau Developer, is responsible for maintaining reports on Tableau Server, including bug fixes, increasing performance of workbooks, and gathering and implementing feedback on any modifications needed. Additionally, will assist and lead developments on new reports, collaborating with internal developers and external clients.
DUTIES
- Design, develop, and implement Tableau dashboards and reports to support data analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
- Support performance, quality, and improvement efforts to help streamline processes through data analysis and visualization.
- Evaluate dashboard quality, consistency, usability, and reliability by documenting and applying best practices to design and development.
- Communicate with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements and describe data modeling decisions and data visualization strategy.
- Assist in Tableau Site Management including deployments and user and group management.
- Utilize SQL, and/or Python in data analytics to collect, understand, transform, cleanse, store, and share data in a privacy-preserving way.
- Assist in testing, governance, data quality, training, and documentation efforts
- Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
