Clinical Systems Liaison

JOB SUMMARY: Support department with system/user issues, coordinating projects and system testing by serving as the resource for the department. Responsible for organizing and conducting user testing as well as training the trainer. Eighty-five percent (85%) of time is spent working on designated system development, testing, issues, etc.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support existing products and services by acting as an agent for problem and operational issue resolution, serving as the primary liaison between department and IT team and provides expertise as needed.

2. Perform defect management by reporting/tracking and troubleshooting system issues/problems/defects. Partnering with Users, Management and IT fully identify, document, brainstorm and carry through to resolution to issues.

3. Provide technical direction by proposing workarounds for issues that cannot be resolved immediately and be the first point of contact for operational users providing consultation as needed.

4. Responsible for assisting in testing of new releases for designated system for completeness and accuracy, identify and report issues and defects and coordinate with training department for staff training.

5. Responsible for tracking system defects in test director system along with the IT staff to ensure all defects are corrected.

6. Inform users of widespread issues and advise resolution status and potential workarounds

7. Establish and maintain working relationship with all departments, stakeholders and external customers involved with project.

8. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.

9. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.

10. Demonstrate Company’s Core Competencies and values held within.

JOB SCOPE:
Incumbent works under minimal direction and uses independent judgment to identify issues, trends & problems and recommend action plans and evaluate results on projects that may not be clearly defined. Work is varied and complex, requiring the individual to use a broad range of knowledge gained through prior experience. The most complex issues are escalated to a higher level. The position works with internal and external sources to complete objectives, keeping the needs of external and internal customers as a priority when making decision and taking action.

Job Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

• Minimum High School Diploma

• Bachelor’s degree or HS Diploma and 4 years of related experience desired

• Minimum 2 years of comparable application development experience like working with database or SQL.

Previous experience with claims, appeals, or medical billing and coding preferred.

  • Ability to use software and hardware peripherals related to job responsibilities including MS Office Suites with preferred proficiency with Word, Excel, SQL or another database software.

    • Experience in data analysis and trending desired

    • Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable

    • Knowledge of and proficient with designated system or equivalent knowledge and proficiency with similar system

    • Communication (written, verbal and listening), time management, follow-up, organization, presentation, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to utilize independent judgment to identify problem issues and determine the appropriate course of action/redirection required to resolve issues.

    • Ability to coordinate and run meetings as needed.

    • Ability to exercise good judgment, creativity and strategic thinking in specific situations.

    • Ability to collaborate with internal departments and support high level of partnership with IT and Management teams

    • Ability to convey information clearly and effectively with the ability to present intradepartmental and to all members of management.

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed to participate in smoke testing of new system releases, including late evening hours and weekends.

    • Ability to adhere to and provide reporting in accordance with tight project deliverables and schedules

    • Ability to work independently on a variety of assigned projects

    • Ability to be thorough and pay attention to detail

    • Ability to work with remote resources and diversity of departments

    • Ability to travel occasionally as needed

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $60K.  Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity.  This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
