Associate Counsel, Director Client Contracting

Claritev USA (Remote) Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Counsel and Director of Client Contracting to join our legal team. Reporting to the VP Client Contract Management, this attorney will provide legal counsel to management and business owners throughout various departments and also serve as a liaison to the company's growth organization. In addition, this position will manage a staff of contract administrators and has significant impact on team planning and strategy development. This job has the authority to recommend and implement appropriate policies, procedures and controls to assure compliance with applicable contractual provisions, regulations, and legislation. This is a people management job with authority for all HR actions (hiring, firing, discipline, training, etc.).

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Required Qualifications
2. J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school
3. Bar admission, in good standing, in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
4. Minimum of 5 years prior in-house or law firm experience
5. Preferred Qualifications
6. 5+ years prior experience related to healthcare or other related fields.
7. Minimum 3 years people management experience
8. Experience working with cross functional teams or supporting the operational, product, or other business teams.
9. Experience handling long-term and/or complex legal projects.
10. Strong verbal and written business communication skills: highly adept at synthesizing and summarizing complex concepts into clear, concise and actionable communications.
11. Exceptional interpersonal skills: ability to foster collaboration with and influence colleagues to drive results.
12. Strong time and project management skills: ability to appropriately prioritize tasks and goals to ensure timely, on-target completion.
13. Detail-oriented and highly organized.
14. Ability and desire to learn new subject areas and willingness to take on new responsibilities.
15. Select, develop, and evaluate staff to ensure the efficient operation of department.
16. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
17. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
18. Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.

JOB SCOPE:

This section is used, in brief but concise narrative form, to describe how the incumbent must function in order to be successful. The incumbent will direct the day-to-day operations of the Client Contracting Team, establishing procedures, monitoring contract activities, and providing management information. They will manage contract movement through department reviews, serve as a liaison for Growth and Legal, and maintain an approved contract language catalogue. Monitoring client product selection and contractual turnaround times, managing contracting staff, and providing legal advice to internal business partners are essential duties. The incumbent will develop a strong understanding of the Company's offerings, negotiate contract terms, assist with template language development, and deliver training programs. Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, researching legal issues, and demonstrating commitment to the Company's core values are also key responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
