Data Support Associate

Remote position – temporary

$16.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY: Provide high quality and efficient clerical or administrative support. Provide necessary information for completion of claims workflow.

  • A 10-day training class is provided. New employees will need to work 8:00 to 4:30 pm CT during the training.
  • After training, you can determine your set schedule anytime between 7:00 am and 4:30 pm CT.

Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and research claims, coordinate documentation and determine next steps using various systems.
  2. Perform timely data entry while maintaining production & quality standards
  3. Perform claim entry and adjustments on medical claims
  4. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  5. Demonstrate Company’s Core Competencies and values held within
  6. Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data – this role is considered to be a High Risk Role.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to efficiently use a computer, keyboard and quickly navigate software applications.
  • High speed internet access.
  • Quiet work area without distractions.
  • Regular and consistent attendance and adherence to work schedule.
  • Data Entry, EOB/EOP and Claim Knowledge
  • Knowledge of medical insurance terminology required.
  • Excel experience required.
  • Communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
  • Ability to work without frequent supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all required situations.
  • Ability to use software, hardware, and peripherals related to job responsibilities.

The salary range for this position is $16.00/hour.  Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity.  This position is also eligible for health insurance and 401k.
