This is a work-from-home position, but must be in the eastern time zone.

 

JOB SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for the day to day operations and overall planning, execution and implementation of State Regulatory related development projects in support of the Company. This position will manage, develop and assist with complex reporting on provider data for regulatory compliance filings applicable to the organization (for both MultiPlan and in support of MultiPlan's clients). The position will ensure that developed reports meet the established regulatory requirements, are accurate and produced on time. This position also provides leadership to the team on technical design prioritization and work load management.

 

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and manage work plan for State Regulatory filings.
  2. Analyze regulatory filing reporting requirements in order to ensure that Healthcare Economics can develop solutions that meet the regulatory filing needs, and establish and maintain agreement between assigned MultiPlan business units and project teams on the deliverables required to meet the regulatory filing requirements.
  3. Actively manage State regulatory filings to ensure filing data produced by Healthcare Economics are accurate and on schedule.
  4. Create and/or modify Oracle stored procedures, views, queries, and tables required by operation of the application solution.
  5. Lead the design solution to unify provider data across two different provider systems.
  6. Interact with the corporate business owners to set priorities and resolve defects, change requests and issues. Provide guidance and vision to teams to get the correct requirements.
  7. Interact with project teams regularly for review and update of projects. Troubleshoot issues and offer possible solutions. Review prior week’s progress and discuss next week’s goals and agenda.
  8. Interact with management on a regular basis to address and manage escalated situations, review team progress and next steps. Keep management up-to-date on resource management issues, etc.
  9. Communicate process improvements amongst teams ensuring best practices by keeping various teams apprised of accomplishments and potential issues and risks.
  10. Oversee development of ad hoc and standard regulatory reports plus interactive dashboards and provide technical leadership in support of the reporting environment.
  11. Manage the creation of designs and strategic plans (using business knowledge) for the reporting technical environment at the Company. Identify candidate hardware systems and components, perform technical review of requirements, and analyze source data and provide gap analysis.
  12. Select, develop, and evaluate staff to ensure the efficient operation of department.
  13. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  14. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  15. Demonstrate Company’s Core Competencies and values held within.
  16. Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data – this role is considered to be a High Risk Role.

JOB SCOPE:

This job manages departmental Regulatory report development and is considered to be an established and experienced professional who knows and actively applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.  Evaluation, originality, and/or ingenuity are required to complete job responsibilities.  This position works under limited supervision with independence and general latitude to make commitments and may occasionally need to confer with the Director to obtain guidance on the preferred approach to resolution for the most complex situations.  This position leads, manages and develops teams.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum BS in Computer Science or related field, or 6 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years projects experience related to solutions developed using Oracle PL/SQL technologies, including at least 2 years in a lead capacity.
  • Experience with any Business Intelligence Reporting tool is a plus.
  • Experience Designing/developing/debuging complex reporting solutions that involve loading external/internal files (e.g., .xlsx, .txt, URL etc.), processing files per specified requirements, and producing output in a specific template.
  • Experience with writing complex SQLs and creating database objects like Oracle procedures, functions, packages, views using dynamic SQL, perform SQL performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of facility/provider demographics and contracting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of developing applications and/or automations using MS Access VBA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts including SQL, indexes, transactions and writing software that communicates with a database.
  • Communication (written, verbal, listening) employee relations, interpersonal, leadership, analytical, data entry and organizational skills.
  • Ability to deliver successful projects in a fast-paced corporate setting.
  • Ability to meet the requirements set by the business as it pertains to reporting and analytics. This includes report development, technical design, reporting tool software administration and data modeling.
  • Ability to manage large and small projects as well as give direction to staff members is needed in order for the incumbent to be successful.
  • Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve the objective (collaboration), contribution to the strategic vision for reporting and timely status reporting.
  • Ability to manage, lead and develop staff.
  • Ability to use software, hardware and peripherals related to job responsibilities including MS Office Suites, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, database software, etc.
