This is a work-from-home position.


This position is responsible for the day to day operations and overall planning, execution and implementation of all Business Intelligence and report development projects in support of the company. This position is also responsible for resource management and provides leadership to report development team on technical design prioritization and work load management. This position is responsible for managing a team of software engineers catering to the different corporate reporting needs across the company.

Your specific job duties will include:

  1. Interact with the corporate business owners via business analysts, quality assurance teams to set priorities and resolve defects, change requests and issues. Provide guidance and vision to teams to get the correct requirements.
  2. Interact with project teams regularly for review and update of projects. Troubleshoot issues and offer possible solutions. Review prior week’s progress and discuss next week’s goals and agenda.
  3. Interact with management on a regular basis to address and manage escalated situations, review team progress and next steps. Keep management up-to-date on resource management issues, etc.
  4. Uphold departmental configuration management and coding standards by overseeing continual review process.
  5. Communicate process improvements amongst teams ensuring best practices by keeping various teams apprised of accomplishments and potential issues and risks.
  6. Oversee development of ad hoc and standard reports plus interactive dashboards and provide technical leadership in support of the reporting environment.
  7. Manage the creation of designs and strategic plans (using business knowledge) for the reporting technical environment at the Company. Identify candidate hardware systems and components, perform technical review of requirements, and analyze source data and provide gap analysis
  8. Design/develop complex reports using Crystal Reports, working on complex formulas, SQL expression, sub-reports, charts, cross-tab reports and schedule reports using central management console. Create reports in MS Excel using pivot tables.
  9. Select, develop, and evaluate staff to ensure the efficient operation of department.
  10. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  11. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  12. Demonstrate Company’s Core Competencies and values held within.

This job manages departmental report development and is considered to be an established and experienced professional who knows and actively applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.  Evaluation, originality, and/or ingenuity are required to complete job responsibilities.  This position works under limited supervision with independence and general latitude to make commitments and may occasionally need to confer with the Director to obtain guidance on the preferred approach to resolution for the most complex situations.  This position leads, manages and develops teams.

Job Requirements



  • Minimum BS in Computer Science or related field, or high school and 4 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of business intelligence projects experience including at least 2 years in a lead capacity.
  • Experience with designing/developing QlikView/Qlik Sense dashboards including data modeling.
  • Experience with designing/developing complex reports using Crystal Reports or any other reporting tool, working with complex formulas, SQL expression, sub reports, charts, cross tab reports, schedule reports using central management console.
  • Knowledge and experience with the following technologies required: QlikView, Oracle and SQL Server Databases, Oracle PL/SQL, Business Objects Reporting tool, NPrinting preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts including SQL, indexes, transactions and writing software that communicates with a database.
  • Knowledge to create database object like procedures, functions, packages, views, triggers, materialized views using dynamic SQL, perform SQL performance tuning.
  • Communication (written, verbal, listening) employee relations, interpersonal, leadership, analytical, data entry and organizational skills.
  • Ability to deliver successful projects in a fast-paced corporate setting.
  • Ability to meet the requirements set by the business as it pertains to reporting and analytics. This includes report development, technical design, reporting tool software administration and data modeling
  • Ability to manage large and small projects as well as give direction to staff members is needed in order for the incumbent to be successful.
  • Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve the objective (collaboration), contribution to the strategic vision for reporting and timely status reporting.
  • Ability to manage, lead and develop staff.
  • Ability to use software, hardware and peripherals related to job responsibilities including MS Office Suites, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, database software, etc.

**Pursuant to Colorado’s “Equal Pay for Equal Work Act”, the following salary range is provided solely for applicants living in Colorado: $110k-$120k.  If an applicant does not live in Colorado, this salary range may not apply.  Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity.  This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
